City bus to Torrey Pines State Park?
Hello all. I was wondering if there are any city buses in San Diego that go out to Torrey Pines State Park? I'm the only one in my party who wants to go out there for some hiking in a few weeks and I don't want to take the rental car and leave the rest of my friends without it. Thanks!

That looks like one heck of a hairy bus route. Any ideas what a one-way taxi fare might cost from the Shelter Island area to Torrey Pines? I could probably talk my friends into picking me up there when I'm done hiking.

you'd be better off taking the 28 down rosecrans to the old town transit center, where you could catch the 34 to the ucsd.
unfortunately, it doesn't get much better than that. if you were travelling from downtown, you could catch an express bus to ucsd, which would would cut the travel time in half, or more.
a cab would be $30 - $35.
