Has anyone visited the Navy Museum or taken one of their tours?
Hello again, I tried to search for this one but I was unable to find any previous posts relating. Is the Navy Museum worth exploring? We have toured the USS Constitution in Boston and found that pretty exciting. Would this experience be similar? Any thoughts are appreciated.

The Washington Navy Yard is chock-full of goodies. However, because of increased security, anyone without a DOD ID should call ahead to schedule a visit. 202-433-6897
I haven't been through the museum. However, there is also a Marine Corp museum or two there. And the Navy Yard is also the central repository for US Naval historical material.
I'd suggest a visit. Incidentally, the Navy also has an aviation museum at Pensacola that's supposed to be well-worth a visit, too.

I often visited the museum when I lived in Northern VA and it was great. It was closed for renovation and reopened, but is restricted due to 911. It is open by appointment only Mon-Fri 9 to 4. I don't know if it is restricted to active and retired military personal only or not. Call 202-433-6897 or 202-433-4882. Please let me know how you make out. If you can get in,it is worth the visit. The USS Barry is also there to tour.

The museum also had a small section devoted to the Korean War, and there is an excellent library in the Yard.
The Friday Washington Post has a "Weekend" section listing all the activities in the city including the major displays at the Navy Museum.
