Hawaii wedding attire
We will be attending a wedding in Hawaii next week at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider. The weather seems too hot for us to be wearing a suit/jacket/tie and formal dress. I've read that Hawaii dress code is more casual. Can anyone enlighten me on what is proper and acceptable evening wedding attire for Hawaii?
Thanks in advance!

Kal, that was rather funny. it made my day.
Gecko - try a search:
hawaii wedding attire
there is a lot of info.
But, you ought to check with other guests to see what is proper for that particular wedding.

and regarding wedding attire- most likely no shorts at the Moana.
Slacks & nice aloha shirt (no, not the screaming loud one!) for men.
A flowery dress or sylish Muu muu for women with strappy heels. If you want to buy one, try Macys (at Ala MOana), Blue Ginger (at ward Warehouse) or Mamo (also at WW). Even Sears has some nice ones. Go for more fitted and less frou frou if you want to look more local.
