Honeymoon in Northern California

I am currently planning a honeymoon to Northern California in June 2006. We are driving North from L.A.. We are looking for fabulous places to stay, spas, interesting lodges, amazing restaurants (I am a chef), romantic spots, hikes, wineries, luxury travel all along the way. Any suggestions?
Thank you

We love the Northern California coast, from Point Reyes to Mendocino.
One of my favorite places is the Elk Cove Inn--www.elkcoveinn.com.

One of our favorite spots on the planet is Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. It would be agreat place to spend a night or two on your way north.

We also love the Sea Ranch on the Sonoma coast. They have a lodge and you can also rent homes.

Sounds like a great trip. Have fun planning it.

Point Reyes is gorgeous and a good place to see elephant seals. I had a casual but delicious meal that included local oysters at the Station House Cafe in Point Reyes Station. In Oakville in the Napa Valley there is a little gourmet grocery store that has all the necessities for a fabulous picnic. Happy Beginnings!

Luxury travel, the only way to go! LOL The Post Ranch Inn sounds amazing, we haven't stayed there but had a very memorable meal there at Sierra Mar.

The Highland's Inn is another option in the Carmel Highlands area. Pacific's Edge was wonderful, the formal restaurant there. Amazing views from the dining room and outstanding service and food.

The Sonoma Mission Inn is very nice in the Sonoma area. You will have many amazing dining options in this area. We like the Bodega Bay Lodge & Spa in the Bodega Bay area. Have fun! ***kim***
