Hotel in Sacramento near Rancho Cordova?

Need to stay 1 night in Sacramento near Rancho Cordova area, looking for a nice hotel in nice area/safe location under $200 a night, possibly one that offers free breakfast.
First time to this area. Any recommendations? Thank you...

"near" Rancho or in Rancho.

Nice Marriott right at Sunrise/Folsom blvd.
I heard the restaurant there is good plus The Sheepherder's is a very short walk.

I've stayed at the Marriott and the Fairfield Inn when I've gone to Rancho Cordova on business. Both were fine..Marriott is a little nicer, and Fairfield is a little cheaper. I remember that the Fairfield had a free breakfast, but I don't think the Marriott did.

There is a large number of places off Zinfandel Drive that are all new and newish.

These three are grouped together on Trade Center Drive and Zinfandel just off 50.

Hyatt Place

Wingate by Wyndam

Sorry the Wingate sign has been replaced by a Fairfield Inn sign.

FYI the Sheephearders is nothing like it used to be.

I used to work near there and if breakfast is important then do the Residence Inn.

BTW: the area is fairly safe if you stay on the major streets. It is mostly comercial and deserted after 5:00 PM

Yeah...but Sunrise from Gold River down to Jackson Hiway can be called "Burma Road".

We chose the Marriott, it was really nice, well run, and looked like it was recently updated!
Beds were very comfy, and enjoyed a really nice breakfast out by the pool.

We've stayed several times at the Marriott at Sunrise/Folsom. Nice place. We've typically gotten it for $50-$75 via Priceline. It's the only 4* Priceline hotel in Rancho Cordova that's been reported at BiddingForTravel.com.

BiddingForTravel shows a lot of successful $41 bids that got the 3* Hyatt Place over the last few months. The Hyatt Place gets good reviews on TripAdvisor.com. It has a free continental breakfast, and you can order (and pay for) other hot breakfast items if you choose.

Of course, usual disclaimers apply. If you use Priceline, there's no guarantee which hotel you'll end up with, you can't get a refund if you don't like the hotel you get, etc., etc.

Oh, and now I notice that Gail's original request was way back in May, and that a few hours ago Gail reported which hotel she got.

Oh well--maybe somebody else will be looking for a hotel in Rancho Cordova soon and will stumble across this thread...
