Inexpensive golf courses in Kissimmee

Can anyone recommend inexpensive golf courses in the Kissimmee area in December?

Any "tips" would be gratefully received.

This is for 4 Scottish male golfers in the early 70's.

There's an LPGA north of Daytona Beach that my DH really enjoys. Its about an hour from Kissimmee...
but my post will bring yours to the top and others will hopefully have additional ideas.

Try to search for public or municipal courses not attached to resorts or hotels; the local yellow pages would have those listings.

Here's a list for Kissimmee area golf courses for you.

Brevard county (about an hour away) has some excellent public golf courses:

My son and husband played at Kissimmeee Golf Club. It is on the list in the link provided above. Good rates. OK course, not terribly challenging but they enjoyed it. The did see an alligator on the course (no kidding, there is a lake on the course and this is apparently not a rare occurrence).

Have a look at www.lastminutegolfer.com

Look under Orlando and via the course locator you can view all the courses that have special deals with this company in the Kissimmee area

A friend uses them and basically you get really low rates when you book after 6.00pm until midnight the previous day by calling them or doing it online. You can take a take a look at the courses, as most have websites listed.

Also when you get to Orlando you will see offers in newspapers and leaflets for discounted golf.

I wouldn't pre-book anything unless your desperate to play one particular course, as the golf opportunities in Florida are virtually unlimited

Try "Hunter's Creek" just north of Kissimmee. Here is the web address
http://www.golfhunterscreek.com/. There are dozens of golf courses in that area but this is one that I have played many times.
