The Kahala Mandarin is about 20 min. from Waikiki while the Ihilani is about 45 min.

An advantage to the Ihiliani is that they have lagoons there that are netted-off from sharks.

Both resorts seem to get good feedback here.

By the way, Noah whatever, have you ever BEEN to Hawaii? If you have not, make that clear in your posts so people won't be misled. Again, have you ever BEEN to Hawaii? Answer or CEASE AND DESIST!

1. I just called the Ihilani (808-679-0079) and was told that they are around 40-45 minutes from Waikiki and that the lagoons are indeed netted-off from sharks and large fish.

(Certainly not 'Sherman's Lagoon'!, if anyone is familiar w/ the comic (http://www.slagoon.com)

2. The American Airline Vacations 2000 Hawaii brochure says the Kahala Mandarin is "...just 15 minutes from Waikiki..."(p. 07)

The following is from the Kahala Mandarin's website:

"20 minutes by car from Honolulu International Airport
10 minutes by car from Waikiki
15 minutes by car from Honolulu's business district"

I may have seen the distance referred-to somewhere as 20 min. or I may have made a small mistake. BIG DEAL! Nobody can give an exact time anyway since it depends on traffic.

3. I have never been to Hawai`i and have never claimed otherwise nor tried to mislead people into thinking that I have.

4. Your personal attacks are not appropriate here.

Seems you couldn't deal with my specific refutations.

Well, you found your error, it's a 8-10 minute drive from Waikiki, and a world apart!
Just keep posting the disclaimer. By the waay....
It's no big deal about the nets at the Ihilani. All kinds of people surf and swim outside the net. But this is not about you.

If you would have read my post carefully, you would have seen that I already explained how, at the most, I made a very minor error.

Of course, you don't really care. You are not really so concerned w/ accuracy and truth as you are consumed in your hatred of me and your vicious vendetta against me. What you have said on this thread is actually tame compared to what you have said about me in the past.

This forum is not the place to pursue personal vendettas.
