Las Vegas
Was wondering what are the typical hotel prices in las vegas. And which one to stay for one night stayover. I am not looking for high quality. Price is more of a concern for me.
Also, how long is a drive from Williams Depot near grand canyon to Las Vegas?
thanks

Depending on what night you stay, or if there is a
a big convention in town you can get a room at several hotels on the strip for less than $100.00
Luxor, MGM, New York New York, Excaliber, ballys,
treasure Island..all are very reasonable. Until
a big event is in town,,then most rates skyrocket,
On our last trip we stayed at treasure island.
It was $89.00 thurs and friday night, but because
of a large convention, the rate went to $280.00
is we would of stayed Sat. night.
I would recommend Treasure Island..its in the center of the strip,so you can walk to most other hotels..

One night stayover? Looking for price? Check out the Motel Six! No, you won't have an onsite casino or a five-star buffet; but I don't think that's what you're looking for! Go to
www.motelsix.com
to find it exactly.
If that fails, check www.super8.com

Depending on when you go some hotels are very reasonable, my friend stayed at the Excaliber for around $35.00 a night off season. Also check out newly opened hotels they usually offer great deals!
I recommend the Treasure Island, we stayed there and loved it. Close to everything. However I'm not sure of the cost because it was a business trip and my husband's job paid for everything.

If you're concerned about price, the Treasure Island is going to be more than what you're looking for. If you want to stay in an affordable strip hotel, I recommend the Frontier. It's an older property, but definitely acceptable. They frequently have rates from $35-$45 per night, midweek. (All the Vegas hotel prices shoot up on the weekends and, of course, during conventions.)
You can frequently get good rates at the Sahara, Stardust, and Straosphere as well, although I don't recommend any of those hotels. However, it all depends on just how much money you want to save.
