Try to avoid it if possible. When are you planning to visit?

Hmm, Radio City Apartments on West 49th has a studio for $155 for October 5th. This is by no means a fancy hotel, but it is WAY cleaner that the Radisson. Very convenient location and the staff is nice. You can book on-line here: http://www.radiocityapartments.com/index.cfm just click on "reservations" and enter October 5th and you will see what is and is not available. I have stayed here twice and have no complaints!

I stayed here 2 years ago and was not pleased at all. The rooms are incredibly tiny, the staff is rude, and they are always running behind. We couldn't check-in at check-in time b/c they didn't have rooms ready and there was a very long line just to get to the desk clerk. The rooms are rather old and dirty looking and the cleaning/housekeeping service seems to get worse by the day. When we called housekeeping to ask for washcloths, the person on the phone was rude and I can't even remember if the washcloths showed up or not. Also, housekeeping was always running behind in cleaning rooms each day, so our room was usually made up after 3 in the afternoon. I would not stay here again if I could help it. The only thing going for it is the location.

Lee, are your comments in relation to the Radisson? Or the Radio City Apartments I mentioned? I have had only positive experiences at the RC Apts., no issues with rude staff or dirty rooms. We just stayed there in August and we will probably book there again next year.

From the reviews I have read, I would avoid the Radisson.

Margie,
Sorry for not being clear--I'm talking about the Radisson. I've never stayed at the Radio City apartments but have always read good reviews about those. For the last 2 trips my husband and I have taken to NYC, we've rented small apartments (one in Greenwich, one on the Upper West Side) and have been very happy with that!
