Lodging in the Sebastopol/Santa Rosa, CA area
My niece is getting married in November. All the relatives can't stay at their house so I was wondering about vacation rentals or other moderately priced accomodations nearby that we might share. My brother lives in Sebastopol and the wedding will be there also. Only expensive rooms in the town. I looked on vrbo and saw some houses near Bodega Bay, but I'm not sure of the distances. Anyone local have ideas? We have two kids, others would be couples.

I think I read some comments on Trip Advisor about the Vintners Inn being close to the freeway, and there being a sound issue with that. I do take what I read on that site with a grain of salt, but it does make you wonder...

Hi oregonmom~I'm a Sonoma County local.
You asked for a moderately priced
accommodations so how about the Holiday Inn Express in Sebastopol ? You will probably find the best pricing on their website or calling directly.
Next, you might want to try bidding on Priceline
in the Santa Rosa-Rohnert Park-Petaluma
areas-the only 4* is the Hyatt Vineyard Creek which is conveniently located
just west of downtown Santa Rosa
and has easy access to Hwy 12 to zip over to Sebastopol. At 2 1/2* is the Marriot Courtyard which is located nearly next door to the Hyatt Vineyard.
These two hotels are about 10 minutes from Sebastopol.
Bodega Bay is a good 30 mins from Sebastopol-country roads and no fun for the unfamiliar, or if it's raining.
Congrats to your niece !
