Moab to Jackson Best Route
Can anyone tell me the best route to take from Moab,Utah to Jackson,Wyoming in mid August on a Sunday? I also need a stopping point to spend the night. We would prefer to do most of the driving in one day.
Also need advice on a route from Yellowstone to Salt Lake City Airport on a Saturday. We are stay at the Lake Yellowstone Hotel. Thanks!

i think the most scenic route would be up along Dinosaur and Flaming Gorge thru Vernal...then west on the interstate to Evanston...then north on 89 up to 30 and then aroung Bear Lake...stop and get a fresh raspberry shake at the roadside cafes and then up 89/191. You can do in a day or overnight in any of the little towns when you get tired. enjoy...i will be right behind you in late August! On your return, head west out of west yellowstone on 20 down to Idaho Falls and head south on I-15...a beautiful ride and quick to the airport.

Hi K,
Another option would be to go up through Price, over highway 6 to Spanish Fork and up I15. You could spend the night in Park City or continue on and spend the night at Bear Lake.
Bear Lake is very popular on weekends in the summer, so you might want to have res in advance. Sunday night would not be as much as a problem as Fri or Sat.
Another option would be to spend the night in Star Valley, WY. Very beautiful place! Again, in Aug, get advance res, especially if you're arriving early evening.
Have fun!
