I'm benefitting from this thread too! Leone I'm another proud holder of a Food Lion key tag card after our last 2 years at Kingston Plantation. We are going again this year for our annual no husbands get-away, just sisters, moms and kids! I can't get my kids away from that great waterpark at Kingston and if you only leave the gates of the resort to go to Kroeger or the Food Lion, you manage to avoid most of the tackiness!

CF, I agree with you on the buffets! Why so many? I can't STAND them! I went to the place in Cherry Grove and will return. We also make the drive down to Murrell's inlet - the only other place for decent food, but I'm always on the lookout for more!

Nina,

What restaurants do you like in Murrels Inlet? I know there are a bunch, but as we live in North Myrtle Beach we don't get down there enough.

Thanks

Chuck, We went to a place called Captain Daves which was pretty good (remember we have the restriction of eating at restaurants with kids menus, fussy kids you know), and another place in Pawleys Island called the Country Store. Loved the crab cakes there. We usually also have dinner one night at Chestnut Hill. We have always managed to spot an alligator so we ask for a table near the window. The kids love it!

Since you live there you should be giving us the great tips Chuck! How about it, any new finds? Also, all of us love Thai food and we found a great, hole in the wall Thai restaurant in downtown MB. Sorry I can't recall the name but the food was outstanding! We will definitely stop there again this August.
