New River Gorge National Park tips
We will be visiting New River Gorge NP on a road trip later this summer. Would love any information you might have to share. Looking at the nos website as of now there aren’t any official events in the park during our trip. Considering a whitewater rafting trip. Would love any recommendations on outfitters. Will have a 14 year old and a 12 year old with us. TIA

Two magnificent trails that are not difficult:
The Endless Wall Trail in the national park.
The Cliffside Trail in Hawks Nest State Park.
There are some interesttng ghost towns in the park. I recommend the historic trail that goes to the Nuttalburg Coal Tipple.
As you may already know, the rapids are very famous, enormously popular, and very rough with limited availability as there are only certain days the water is released downstream from the dam.
There is a great place to eat in Fayettville: Wanderlust. We liked it so much we ate there three days in a row.

We stayed at the cheapest acceptable chain motel and it was fine, the Comfort Inn near Fayetteville.. In general I use google maps to locate what's available. Works for independent lodging as well.
