Newport, RI help!
Hello,
We'll be in Newport for the weekend of January 22,23,24 visiting family...
Being a big football fan, where is a good restaurant/bar to watch the football games on the night of the 23rd?????
Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

Maybe KC's (Middletown)...not sure of Npt pub's that will have the game on. Brick Alley has awesome food, but it is a little crowded and you might not see the game if you can't get a seat at the bar.
Another good eat in Middletown is Coddington Brewery. More open than Brick Alley, but away from the downtown Npt scene. KC's is just on the outskirt of Npt, right accross from 1st Beach.
I will think more....

What games are you talking about on the 23rd (Saturday)? I thought the NFL games were both Sunday but I could be wrong or maybe you are not talking about the NFL....
Anyway, I would not go the Red Parrot to watch a game...a little too expensive to sit there for 3 hours. The Coddington as mentioned is fine to watch a game but you will have to drive to it. I kind of like the Rhino Bar and Grille or the Mudville pub to watch a game.

As mentioned, the games are on Sunday 3:00 and 6:30. Mudville is a good place, also Tickets in Middletown (Across from First Beach) although I haven;t been there this season and don't know how crowded they'll be on Sunday with the pats out of it. I know alot of Viking Fans used to go there.
Basically any bar/Restaurant will have the games on....some favorites in town:
Buskers, Fast Net (Both Irish Bars)
Brick Alley (Not great football viewing as the TV's are high up, but fun conversation at the bar.)
Mudville
Gas Lamp
