janisj, loved your trip report. I had already heard a little about it (and received a postcard ) Thanks.

One quick question: will we be sorry that we drove from San Francisco to Garberville in one day with the idea of meandering back to Sonoma later in the week?

Hi

You do have a bit of a dilemma. Sure you should spend more time in your way up north, more time on your way back south, and more time in Garberville. But that would take a week and you just don't have that much time. Isn't the whole R-T just 4 or 5 days?

So don't second guess yourselves. Whatever you do will be wonderful - and you simply can't see everything. It just gives you another reason to come back again
