Park Central Hotel do you recommend?

Does anyone have recommendations for this hotel? It's between Park Central and the Metropolitan (formerly Loews). Which would you recommend? Pros and cons. Thanks in advance.

In Manhattan, it's all about location, and the Metropolitan's location is better (on the southeast corner of 51st and Lex). I've had friends stay there a few times and they've been very happy with it, and that was before the renovations.

That being said, you can't go wrong with either hotel. Enjoy!

In terms of location, I prefer the Park Central. I too have stayed at both places and they are both fine but if you plan on spending any time in the Park it is just a couple of blocks away. There is also a great bagel place right there--Essa bagel or something like that. If you are looking for a nice restaurant, Cafe del Arte is a block away and they have the most fabulous antipasti bar. Enjoy

Metropolitan is on the 6 subway line, which is on the same corner as the hotel. The 6 train takes you to the museums and the park to the north and Union Square, SoHo, Chinatown, and Wall Street to the south. That's why most people really like the location. Also there's a wonderful coffee shop adjacent to the hotel, and many many restaurants just to the east on Third & Second Avenues (Sutton Place area -- very nice). My vote is for the Metropolitan. Oh yeah, and the Metropolitan's neighborhood is a little nicer.
