Priceline hotels near Miller Park (Milwaukee)

Hello, everyone. I'm looking for some advice about bidding on a Priceline hotel for a trip to Miller Park in Milwaukee around late September. I've looked at the Bidding for Travel website and there are many, many hotel options listed there. What area is closest to Miller Park? Downtown, Brookfield, Milwaukee North, Milwaukee Northwest, Milwaukee South, or Airport? I'll have a car but was hoping to leave it parked at the hotel and just walk or use public transport for where I need to go. Thanks for any help or advice... have a good Memorial Day!

There is no hotel within walking distance. Miller is surrounded by highways.
The Brookfield area and downtown are about equally as close. Since you will need a car (or bus/taxi) to get to the park, choose on other factors for a decision.

We have frequently done Priceline in Milwaukee (downtown) and Brookfield. My preference/suggestion would be that you bid for downtown as Brookfield is basically a mall and miles of suburbia. We have gotten the 2.5* Courtyard by Marriott a number of times (for $35-40, but that often was a Sunday night). It's a very pleasant property, situated right downtown (and attached to the mall and parking - for about $11 extra), so you have restaurants, neighborhoods and interesting shopping right out the door. We once stayed at the 3* Hilton (around the corner from the Courtyard) and I did not like it - too large; spacious but worn room; teensy bathroom. We've never been dissatisfied with a Priceline 2.5*

Thanks to both of you for the replies. I have used Priceline for hotels on several occasions and have always been pleased with the results. I'll give "Downtown" a try. Thanks again!

Brookfield is an outer burb and agreed that it has no attrractions. Downtown has things to do and also offers buses to the stadium.
In late Sept, there will be plenty of Brewer seats;reasonably priced from scalpers at the park. Walking amoung the tailgaters often produces cheap tickets also. Try for the club level.

Thanks again for the helpful tips. So you think I should wait and get my game tickets when I get there? You think I can get a good deal on field box seats from scalpers? I hadn't considered that... I usually can find some pretty good ones on Ebay from season ticket holders, etc.
