PROVIDENCE RI-best pizza?

I remember seeing last year an episode on FOOD NETWORK about great pizza places in Providence RI. Can anyone recommend any? Also, any great restaurants we should try? Will visit this summer. Thanks!

It used to be that Casserta's on Federal Hill had the best sqaure pizza going. But lots of little bakeries made great stuff too.

Casserta's is still the best. Not sure about other restaurants on Federal Hill. Providence has come a long way in the last 10 years, don't miss the Water Fire, (www.waterfire.org for schedule).

Providence also has some delicious grilled pizza. Perhaps the Food Network stopped at Al Forno. They always get the highest praises for their food. It is expensive but the grilled pizza is the best. You will have a simply memorable dinner there.

Also less expensive but almost as good is Bob & Timmys on Federal Hill. They have other pasta dishes but the pizza is what most people come for. If you are there in the summer you can sit outside and then go to DePasqule Sq to linger and have dessert at Pastiche.

Cassertas is the favorite of some, but only if one likes thick crust pies with tons of gloppy red sauce. Personally, I prefer a thin crust with more interesting toppings, and so would opt for Bob & Timmy's as Karin suggested. There are many good restaurants right in the Federal Hill area--try Gracie's, Pane e Vino or eat at Costantino's Venda Ravioli (among the shelves of Italian imported groceries). A classic Italian experience is at Angelo's Civita Farnese, on Atwells Avenue. Good cheap food like it was made by nana. Try the veal and peppers.

if you like good steak and sushi go to 10. its downtown and delish and fun. they have a scratch and sniff dessert menu.
Also, Hemenways at the bottom of college hill is fantastic seafood.
Also, at the bottom of the hill is Mills Tavern which is excellent.
if you are there on a waterfire evening book way ahead cause places fill up quick.
