Romantic Restaurants in Downtown Louisville

Hello everyone!

I have been searching for a nice, romantic restaurant to have dinner at in downtown Louisville. The main problem I seem to be having is that I will be in Louisville on a SUNDAY, which knocks out most of the restaurants listed on most of the Citysearch and Tripadvisor (e.g. L&N, Oakroom, etc.).

Can someone give me a recommendation for a nice downtown Louisville restaurant, which they know is open on Sundays?

Thanks in advance!

Hi dfo! Are you locked into downtown? Restaurants on Frankfort Ave and Bardstown Rd are only minutes away. My favorite is Seviche on Bardstown Rd which offers many Sunday specials. In downtown, there's Proof on Main in the 21C hotel. It's quite eclectic and unusual. We love it.You can make a reservation on www.opentable.com Also open on Frankfort Ave is Varanese which isn't so "romantic" but very good, casual and fun. Volare on Frankfort is also an excellent choice. You could drive or cab to any of these excellent places.

Thanks Linda,

I am fine with taking a taxi to Bardstown Road. Thanks for answering.

when it comes to romance, I love Le Relais. It's a French restaurant ina 1920's air terminal. Open on Sundays after 5:30.

I also second Volare - great atmosphere and wonderful food!
