Santa Barbara alternative-Hampton Inn Goleta?
Going to Santa Barbara for 2 nights end of June. Need 2 rooms (3 beds) for single adults. Rooms are VERY expensive in Santa Barbara at both hotels, motels and inns/b&b's, and most of the inns/b&b's only come with 1 bed per room.
Thinking about staying in Goleta at the Hampton Inn but rates not very cheap either! Anyone stay at this Hampton Inn in Goleta? Or can recommend another alternate lodging chain hotel outside of Santa Barbara more reasonable? Thanks!

I stayed in Oxnard at the Courtyard Mariott last year for a concert I was going to in Santa Barbara. Rooms were well over $200 in SB. I got the room for $60 on priceline, so I don't know what the rooms actually go for. It was a nice hotel, located near a fwy entrance, and they let me check in at 11 a.m. I think it was about a 20-30 minute drive to downtown SB.

You're heading into 4th of July week so you'd better book something soon. El Prado Inn, Lemon Tree Inn, City Travelodge and Quality Inn in Santa Barbara are all fine if they fit your budget.
Coast Village Inn (across from the Montecito Inn) is a little run down but in a nice area right by the ocean, I would choose it over Goleta any day. Eugenia Motel or Motel 6 South in Carpinteria might do in a pinch. Rates are probably similar to the Hampton....but Holiday Inn or Best Western in Carpinteria would be better than Goleta in my opinion if you want to be closer to the ocean.
