Seat Guru Type Website for Southwest?

Does anyone know of a seatguru.com type website that includes southwest planes? Some of the airlines on seatguru list the same boeing planes that southwest uses ... are the configurations the same? Taking our first southwest flight soon and if we get that A pass we want to pick the right seats! (I will post this on the airline forum as well) Thanks!

Since SWA is open seating, you can just pick any seat that looks good to you.

Not everyone's favorite seat is the same.

Yep - just pick a seat when you get on. With boarding group A, you will pretty much be able to choose any seat.

If I have a tight connection, I pick a seat in the front of the plane so I can be one of the first to get off the plane after landing. If I don't have a tight connection, I pick a seat in the back because most people gravitate toward the front, so if the plane isn't full, the empty seats are usually going to be toward the back. This way I am more likely to have some extra room.

The other trick to queuing up for Southwest, if you get in the B or C group, is to make that BOLD move and just plop yourself right there under B or C and wait it out until boarding. As soon as the "group" of waiting passengers sees someone has made that BOLD move and started the queueing up, everyone gets in line behind you!

Thanks guys .. I really appreciate the responses and the advice! I'd still like to find diagrams with seat info for southwest planes though. I'm trying to get information so I can make a good seat choice fairly quickly. For example ... if you look on seatguru.com you may find out that one specific row has 2 inches extra leg room space ... which can make a big difference on long flights. I don't think I would be able to pick those seats out by just looking around the plane so I'd like to know in advance. However, seatguru doesn't have diagrams specifically for southwest planes. Thanks again ... and yes I will be making the bold move and lining up at the front of my section if nobody beats me to it!

When I fly Southwest, Ive noticed that the Exit rows dont have window seats. There is just a Aisle and Center seats and then a empty space where the window seat would be. The Window seat in the row behind it has plenty of leg room where you can really stretch out far.

On some other planes, Ive noticed there is some rows in the center of the plane that face backwards. I dont know about most people but i dont like to sit backwards facing the other row esp when flying.

They all are the same type of plane but the insides are designed differently Ive noticed. Try searching there website for more information.

Southwest flies 4 types of 737s, the -200, -300, -500 and -700.

I believe the rearward facing seats are only on the oldest -200, which they have only 23 planes left at the end of 2003, out of a fleet of 388 planes.

I looked on southwest website and as of Dec/2003 they have 388 planes. 4 different types of 737's, I guess depending on the model you fly on is what the interior and rows setup.
