Seattle
We have three days in Northwest Washington, flying into Seattle between July 6-8. What could you suggest we do during those three days. We have seen Seattle and Victoria. We like to be by water and/or mountains. We will have a car. How far away is Whistler? Or would you suggest the San Juan Islands. We are limited to three days since we must be in Yakima by Friday night July 9th

Whistler is about 210 miles north of Seattle.
My suggestion for glorioius NW scenery, considering your time limitations and final destination, is: Olympic Peninsula, ferry from Port Townsend to Whidbey Island, North Cascade Highway (WA-20), Winthrop, Yakima.
If you select this option, make a ferry reservation as soon as possible: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries/Sche...roundtrip=true

I love the area over North Cascades highway!! Heading east from Seattle. It's about a 4-hour drive. Around the Methow river valley, towns of Winthrop, Mazama, etc. are *incredibly* beautiful. It's part of what HTTY describes in the first post, but personally with only 3 days, I'd skip the first part of that suggestion and shorten the driving loop.
