Seattle... Grand Hyatt or Sheraton Hotel & Towers??

Trying to decide whether to book Seattle's Grand Hyatt or Sheraton Hotel & Towers. Both look to be centrally located and are both highrises. Would love to have some input from those that have experienced one or both of these hotels first-hand. Thanks in advance for any input. Sandy

The Hyatt is much newer and nicer than the Sheraton. Locations are equal.

Absolutely no comparison - the Elliott Grand Hyatt wins this one hands down. I stayed there a year ago Labor day weekend when I was in Seattle for a music festival. The Hyatt was by far the nicest mass market hotel I've ever stayed in - really superior in all respects. My friend stayed there also and was equally wowed. He went back to Seattle again this year and stayed in the Sheraton (PL bid - he didn't know in advance that he'd get the Sheraton). His description of the Shearton was "it's okay but not in the same class as the Hyatt.".

Don't know about the Hyatt, but you're in luck as I am at the Sheraton right now! I have a nice king room on the 24th floor and paid $80 via Priceline. The Sheraton is well-located, too, and seems to be walking distance to the major attractions. Seattle also has a free bus system downtown.

I'll also cast a vote for the Hyatt.
Very nice business class Hyatt which easily functions as a getaway weekend type hotel as well. Good location, too.
