Sedona Pink Jeep/Hummer Tours

What's the thoughts about these tours so far as being advised or not advised for folks prone to motion sickness? Or, are there any particular ones to stay away from, or ones that are might not be too bad? I have to watch it a little with my wife, though she can handle some motion with her med's and wrist band. Has anyone seen any problem with these tours in this regard? Thanks.

We took a Pink Jeep tour. I don't know what triggers your wife's motion sickness, but be forewarned - it is extremely rough and bumpy. There were times when I felt like I was going to be thrown out of the seat. I hated the sensation, but the scenery was mind-blowing.

About 95% of the Pink Jeep Tour we took could have been driven in our own Honda. The "tour" consisted mainly of a free-spirited woman telling us which rock formations look like Snoopy and how we are being filled with energy from a vortex (or something). The scenery is mind-blowing whether you go on one of these tours or not. In a nutshell: I was disappointed for having wasted my money and time.

My husband and I have bad backs and the Hummer tour was fine for us. Explain your concerns and what you'd like to see and do and they'll suggest which tour you'll most likely enjoy most. I was very impressed with the ride itself and the way the people were willing to do whatever tour we wanted at the time we wanted.

I did Pink Jeep a long time ago. I didn't find it absolutely incredible (in terms of the scenery)- can probably see almost as much just by driving around the area. yes, it was bumpy and rough at times, but I wouldn't think it would be total disaster for someone who gets carsick.

We took the Pink Jeep's Broken Arrow trip this past April and found it to be unbelievabley wonderful! Where we drove, you could not go on your own! We had a wonderful woman driver who gave us lots of interesting scientific factual information... not "new age" mumbo jumbo. As for the physical trip, I have osteoporosis and scoliosis and I get motion sickness and take Bonine when on cruises... I did not take any meds for the Pink Jeep tour and I was perfectly fine! I get sea sick by gentle swaying that seems to effect me where I can't see a horizon. I also get car sick when I look down for a bit and / or read. With the jeep trip, you see the horizon all around, it is not gentle or swaying... yet it is not jolting either! It's kind of like being on a horse with a VERY comfortable padded saddle. The shock absorbers on the Pink Jeeps couldn't be better! It really is a MUST SEE/DO!!!

Lisa: thanks for that post. Very reassuring. My wife loves riding a horse. It sounds likes she won't have a problem. I just heard different things about the ride and was wondering if it presented a motion problem. You've help put my mind at ease - thanks again.
