St. Augustine hotel - inexpensive

We're going to a wedding in St. A which is being held at the Casa Monica hotel. We're arriving late afternoon and leaving early the next morning - so all we need is a basic (and hopefully inexpenive) place to stay that is within easy driving distance. Any suggestions? Thanks.

If price is your primary consideration, then I'd agree with Jed.

If location is a consideration, you can stay at Old City House for $100 or less <http://www.oldcityhouse.com/roomss.html> and walk 1/4 block to the Casa Monica. Oh yes, a very, very good breakfast is also included.

There's the Best Western Spanish Quarters -- it's half a mile away (walking distance) and should be relatively inexpensive. The "Historic Days Inn St. Augustine" is 1 mile away...

This is a list of hotels around the Casa Monica (which is just amazing):

Hope that helps...good luck!

I would highly recommend dinner at the Old City House. I had dinner there on Monday night with seven friends and we all loved our mains. But the biggest winners were desserts, quite wonderful.
I stayed at the Inn at St. Francis and found it a very good bargain for $139. included an excellent breakfast, free bikes, cocktails and apps and a dessert bar in teh evening. Perhaps more than you need since there will be a wedding.
Have a great trip. It is a fun place.
