Sub-leasing in Seattle
I'm taking a job in the financial district (4th ave and Madison) of Seattle and looking at three different areas in which to sublease and appartment while look to purchase a home on the east side. Please help me figure out which of the tree options is best for me as a single woman in the city. (We live and own a home in Scottsdale AZ now and will be eventually relocating to Seattle in May. Untill then, I will be in Seattle 2-3 days per week).
* Option One- Subleasing a furnished studio at 2400 4th Ave (Fountain Court appartments) $695 per month...close and cheap, but is it a SAFE area? Near CLARMONT Hotel. (4th and Battery area)
* Option Two- Sublease a one bedroom lot (furnished) at 19th Ave and MAdison (Capital Hill area) for $1350 a month.
* Option Three- Shared room with another Woman in Queen ann area for $800 a month. Not crazy about a room mate but it means the cost stays low.
So which of these areas is the safest/cheapest for a 30 something woman?

The Fountain Court apts. are fine; the area is safe enough (it's a big city downtown area, so normal precautions apply.) It's quite close to good restaurants, movies, plenty of (free in downtown core) bus service, a snap to your office.
I'm guessing that you wouldn't like the 19th/Madison area - on the fringes of downtown, Madison is a very busy street. It's technically Capitol Hill but only geographically.
Sharing a flat with someone incompatible is a middle ring of hell.

I would also say that Beltown would be my choice. I spend a lot of time downtown and it is absolutely safe. Are there homeless, corners with drug dealers and troublemakers, sure but every city has them and that area is no worse than any other. I have friends who live in Beltown and love it. Take advantage of living in the city before you move to the Eastside. Once your over there it is a whole different culture!
