My fiance and I wanted to go to Mexico or the Caribbean next year but fear the unpredictable weather. Do you have any suggestions on where to go where we can be by the beach, scuba, golf, etc.?

I would never recommend Puerto Vallarto in August for a honeymoon. I was there a few years ago in August and would never go back. Flash floods each night, flying bugs all night long and too much heat. Choose Hawaii or Italy for a nice romantic honeymoon.

hawaii or there are come beautiful beaches and golf courses on the canadian maritine islands - pei, etc.

To insure good weather in August, the most logical choice would proably be So. California or Hawaii (although Hawaii does get more humid and afternoon quickie showers). The only downfall I can think of with California is that the ocean water is not as warm as the other places you're considering but all and all, if it were me...I'd opt for So. California. Lois

If you want Caribbean, go far south, like Aruba. The weather is great there all year round, and hurricanes do not typically hit this far south. You could do a nice resort in San Diego area, or go up to northern CA- like Napa Valley to vineyards, and maybe Santa Cruz.
