The Big Shot is a ride which starts almost 1000 feet above the ground on top of the Stratosphere Tower (tallest building west of the Mississippi). You starp into a small seat, legs and arms free, and it shoots you about 30 stories stright up into the air.
The view is amazing, and it's unlike any thrill ride in the world. There's also a roller coaster which wraps around the side of the building 80 stories off the ground which is certainly unique.
Most any teen boy will get a huge kick out of it unless he's really scared of heights.

If he is into Star Trek at all, then Star Trek: The Experience at the Hilton is lots of fun. The Race for Atlantis ride at Caesar's Palace is also good and he might enjoy the free performances at Caesar's Palace.
Blue Man Group is a good show for teenage boys.
He might also like to see Hoover Dam and explore Red Rock Canyon.
