What and where are the new hotels in South Beach?
We live in FLL and I am something of a hotel freak so each year at least once I try to get to Miami to walk about South Beach and see which hotels have returned to disrepair and which are newly renovated. I think I'll be going again this weekend and haven't been in almost a year. What's new? apparently the Victor, finally after all these years. What else? Thanks for any tips you can give.

Has The Victor opened yet? It still had a ways to go the end of September.
The Setai (http://www.setai.com/) is next door to the Shore Club and one of the tallest high rises in South Beach. Rates start around $900 a night.
If you haven't been yet, the Ritz-Carlton South Beach finally opened. It was the former Di Lido.

I believe that the Setai is way over the others. THe out door spaces are stunning. It is beautiful no matter where you look at it. Food is also wonderful in the restaurant.
The Ritz is the remodeled Di Lido which happened to be in its days, and in my opinion, an ugly hotel. The Victor, I have seen only the lobby is not much. But, ah...the Setai is very, very, nice...
