What to see and what to avoid in Las Vegas and the Canyons
I am going to Las Vegas, Bryce Canyon, the Grand Canyon and Sedona for a week the end of Sept. I need some help on what I absolutely can't miss and what I should avois at-all-costs. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The only thing we have booked is a night at the Mirage and the Sigried and Roy show in Vegas and the 1/2 day mule ride in Bryce Canyon. The ages range from 30-70, so nothing tooo strenuous, but all are game for some fun.

I took your same route in April. We put a 1000 miles on the car going from Las Vegas, Flagstaff, Cameron, Grand Canyon, Page, Springdale (Zion), and back to Las Vegas. This is a lot of driving so plan accordingly. You will see plenty of incredible scenery but the place I continue to tell people about is Antelope Canyon near Page, AZ. It is on the Navajo reservation and they charge around $17 for a one hour visit. They take you to the canyon in the back of a truck and tour companies are available in Page. It is about 100 yards long and is simply awesome. Search www.google.com and www.deja.com for "Antelope Canyon" to get more details.
The following photo is the best reproduction of what I saw in Antelope Canyon.

To MaryJo - yes, the commerical was filmed in Antelope Canyon (or an exact duplicate). The walls didn't move while I was there but I was "moved". It is hard to describe how beautiful it was - 20 degrees cooler than the outside air, very smooth sand, and walls with incredible color that were carved over the eons. The people in the canyon with me whispered as if they were in church.

Ditto on Antelope Canyon! You can also check out Lake Powell while in Page, AZ. Monument Valley isn't too far away and is worth checking out, also. It is a little touristy, but if you can overlook that you will see some awesome scenery! Check out www.antelopecanyon.com and mysteriousplaces.com. Both have some great photos.
