Heaven on earth to this OSB is a day 'off' lying on a raft in the backyard pool, watching the humming birds, etc. , enjoying my flowers, or fishing on the dock in the pond. No 'pressing' things to do.
I love June! 8-)
Belle.

I should probably say stay at home with my family, but you asked so here goes. I would take my husband, Mom and her husband to Paris as well as my husband's parents. I would also take my dog because he is such an important member of our family and he would love Paris! He could go into restaurants, walk on the streets, we could go to dog boutiques. I would eat and drink like a qeen and soak up everything that Paris has to offer from churches to cafes, to chocolatiers, to museums, to gardens!

<<Famous question: "Is this heaven?" Answer: "It's Iowa.">>
I've lived in five states, traveled Europe, the U.S. and places in Latin America the Cancuners have never heard of, and I still agree with you, Cyonara.
It's Iowa. Really. That's where I'd go. But not in the winter!

Hi folks,
I should have phrased the question a little differently (i.e. what is your ultimate vacation). I'm asking just in case that multi-million dollar inheritance from distant generous relatives one day happens (yeah, it'll happen), or I slip and fall outside of a McDonald's.
Anyways, my ultimate vacation or conception of heaven on earth is a stay at the Hyatt Regency in Kuaui, where my wife and I stayed for our honeymoon (I'm still paying it off two years later, but worth it).
Dinner at their floating restaurant - it is a wooden restaurant with windowless windows that overlook a pond below with I think Koi. It was exactly 24 degrees everyday (celsius). I remember tiki torches, the roar of the Pacific, the moon glowing like it don't here in Canada. Eating Hawaiin fish like Mahi-Mahi or Ahi-Ahi or a New Zealand rack of lamb with wine. Then a rich chocolate mouse for dessert with a nice sweet dessert wine. I remember that they had a live acoustic local musician playing. It was pretty awesome.
My job sucks. Yeah.

Well BigDan you have got me thinking this morning. If (rephrased by you) we had a great trip to take, I like your idea of Kaui(haven't been ,but going next April). I would take my husband, kids, brothers and their families, parents and inlaws for a trip of a lifetime with all of the kids. It would be someplace tropical with a million things to explore or do nothing at all except have fun!
