We are taking a northbound Alaska cruise from Vancouver, BC to Seward, AK mid to late July. We will have two nights in Vancouver and after the cruise, will have 5 days on land (Seward, Girdwood, Anchorage). I have an impression we are not likely to see Orcas in Alaska that time of year and so I'm wondering if we should take an Orca watching day cruise while in Vancouver? Opinions?

Just do a Kenai Fjords cruise when you get to Seward. You'll likely see numerous orcas and other species of whales.

We use Major Marines out of Seward. We love the prime rib meal they offer. We have been 12 times and have only NOT seen Orcas one time.
