Wild Wild West - San Francisco GTG 11/03/06 REPORT
On Friday night 4 lovely ladies had a get-together in San Francisco. Fino hotel had a central (for us) location on Post @ Taylor, and the noise level supposed to be low. We gathered at 6, the restaurant was almost empty, but by 7 pm it was filled up, and the noise went up. We still could hear each other, but¡K only because of the noise level we may not go there the next time.
The service was probably the friendliest ever. They didn¡¦t mind us not paying attention to the menu. How could we ¡V so much to discuss! The waiters came back to take out drink order. Then came back to take our appetizers order. Then main dishes. Only the dessert was ordered from the first try ƒº Yes, you¡¦ve guessed it ¡V Tiramisu. Shanghainese had something else in her tall glass¡K suspiciously looking like some rum was added to it. She was happy on the way home
The waiter didn¡¦t mind to come back for orders. A bottle of wine was emptied, as usual in Italian restaurants, bread, oil and butter were served. They turn the fireplace on, asking us to tell if it gets hot! We talked and behaved silly. I am afraid to see the pictures Paula promised to post. I remember I was ¡§feeding¡¨ her something in one of those ƒº
EasyTraveler was so kind to give us a ride. She parked by the hotel Paula1470 was staying at, we walked a block or 2. Took even more pictures in the street and got in the car. Shanghainese got off at her parking place, then I was at home, thank you for the ride! And EasyTraveler went on to spend the night with her relatives in the city.
The time flew. We got out of the restaurant some time around 9 pm. I¡¦ve met everybody before, and was happy to see the girls again. Somebody here said something about December GTG? Can¡¦t wait!

Lovely we are, and what a great time. I felt I was with old friends, warm and fuzzy even before the wine was poured.
The food is to die for, we shared a fried calamari appetizer, Faina didn't care for it as her heart was in the tiramisu, my glass of zabligone with strawberries was heavenly.
Oh, the Fino restaurant is in The Andrews Hotel with the back door facing the parking lot of Le Colonial.
Looking foward to the next GTG!

We had a great evening just getting to know each other. The food was good and the waiter was definitely patient!! I will post a link to the pictures as soon as I get them downloaded from my camera.

Ditto on everything the others have said - plus two!
We had a wonderful GTG - so much to talk about, so little time!
We were old friends from the first moment and had a terrific time!
Great choice of restaurant, Faina! Sooo looking forward to the next GTG!
