Wine Country Tours
Hello,
Our family of 4 (the children are 21) wanted to take a wine country excursion while in San Francisco. We found the following operators and wondered if anyone had any opinions on these operators or a better suggestion. The operators were:
* California Wine Tours
* Platypus Tours
* Great Pacific Tours
Thank you.

I've taken a couple of wine country tours. I can't remember the names of the carriers tho. I thought it was fun and you can drink all you want because someone else is driving. BTW, there is a daily train trip too.

It will cost your group over $300 to take a tour. Why not just rent a car for the day?
You will be able to see a lot more and visit the wineries you want, not the ones the tour company has arrangements with.

Our group of 4 used California Wine Tours a couple of years ago and really enjoyed being able to sample the wine without fear of a DUI. They will customize a tour for you, we picked all sparkling wine places and because it was pouring rain, had our Oakville Grocery picnic lunch in the limo. Cheers!
