Wyndham Boston

Has anyone stayed at the Wyndham Boston at 89 Broad Street? I am concerned because i booked it for 136 per night in August?

Yvonne, you managed to luck into a great-looking hotel that just opened this month (I think on August 2). The rate is well below what comparable properties charge, and I suspect it reflects the fact that the hotel will still be going through it's shake-down period while you're there.

The location is excellent, just a few blocks from the waterfront, Fauneil Hall, and Quincy Market. You could do us all a favor by posting a note with your impression of the hotel upon your return.

Thanks for the info regarding the new Wyndham in Boston. I was scared because the rate was so low (through TravelWeb) and My colleages who worked in our Boston Officce never heard of this Wyndham. I appreciate your help and I will write with our experience.

I just got back the other day from Boston. The Wyndham was great. Perfect location, only a few blocks from Aqaurium, and Fanueil Hall and Qunicy Market. They upgraded us to a suite for no charge, just for inquiring about a suite. It was large with very high ceiling extremely large windows (3 of them) and a Living room area with wet bar and Mini Bar and TV. outside the bath was a large vanity sink area and the king bedroom had a writing desk and was supposed to have a mini bar also. Although we had requested a refrig, we didn't get one and the mini bars and wets bars had not yet been installed. We had room service for dinner, and the food and presentation was excellent. We utilized the concierge for many things including getting us tickets to the sold out DUCK TOURS (we we highly recommend). The staff always addressed you by name and they were very professional at all times. The oversize Bathrobes and the Bath and Bodyworks bath products were wonderful touches. The hotel was still getting up to speed but over all it was a wonderful value. We paid $136 per night plus tax (which by the way is so high) they charged us $7.75 per night in Convention tax on top of room tax and sales tax. I can't see the rates staying so low for long.
