Mustards is fine and a favorite luncheon destination for us but I'd give the nod to the others for dinner.
Of course the French Laundry is to die for and you will have to have someone die to get in off the waiting list.
Others to consider in the immediate area are Redd, L'Etoile, and Ad Hoc in Yountville and Auberge du Soleil and La Toque in Rutherford. None of these places is inexpensive.
Of course there are many other fine restaurants in St. Helena and Napa, both about 10 minutes away.
Check out Gayot.com for more info about the restaurants in Napa and Sonoma.
One other option is to dine at a winery. Robert Mondavi for example has special luncheons as part of their tour program during the season. For info: check out

You will love the Villagio, we stayed there in March. We really enjoyed REDD and Ad Hoc, right across the street from the Villagio.
We enjoyed wine tasting at Domaine Chandon, Peju, Cosentino and V. Sattui this past visit. Have fun! ***kim***

I like Silverado for the view, Hess for the art, Schramsberg for the caves, garden and sparkling wine, Chappellet for the beautiful drive, Mondavi for the comprehensive tours, and Opus One and Silver Oak for the wines. Oh, one more - Frog's Leap for fun.
There's tons of others. The new "hot spot" is Darryl Sattui's Castello di Amorosa (no relation to the Apprentice contestant).
Unfortunately, the latest trend is for wineries to charge $25 and $30 a person just to get in. So, do a lot of research and visit the wineries that you drink at home and where you know you like the wine. Also, the concierge at Villagio can help you with suggestions and maybe reservations.

Go to www.winecountrytoday.com for good ideas and tasting coupons. Share tastings...sip, don't drink! I agree with Hess..very cool stop; give yourself at least 1.5 hours. Stunning! Opus One requires a reservation well in advance, but it's a unique tour because they do everything by hand. Having your 'taste " on the patio is special, though at $30 is no bargain! One of my favorite wineries is William Harrison. Small, but truly unique. The family was the first of the Italian immigrants to the Napa Valley. They havelots of cool pictures and stories there, as well as a stuffed bear in the tasting room! Fabulous wines, too.

We know someone with your name! Just wondering.
We were in Yountville in September. I am certainly no expert but we fell in love with the Napa area 3 years ago, and go back every year since.
Redd was great for dinner, eating outside on a nice nite was beautiful. Brix is great for lunch - sit outside where you are practically in the vineyard!
Loved our tour of Duckhorn Winery(which we booked in advance not sure of it's cost)but it was informative, and the private wine tasting in the dining room with a little bit of interesting gourmet food bites was very good.
We truly enjoyed Schramsberg Caves, (about $50.00 each) we booked that in advance too. They do a very interesting tour and the champagne is a favorite!
Auberge du Soleil(hotel- not far from the caves) has beautiful views, we went for drinks at sunset - the staff was snobby but I loved the views, so I didn't let them bother me.
Let us know what you think of the Villagio, we want to stay there this October when we go. It looked beautiful and was central to all the wineries.
Have a great time.
