Central Hotel
The run-down hotel, which claims to be four-star, is one of the best options in town, which isn't saying much. It is, however, a suitable base for exploring the My Lai site—local buses leave from the bus depot across the road to the memorial site, a 30-minute journey. The staff speak limited English and the pool is crowded in the afternoons. Keep your expectations low to avoid disappointment.
Coffee Tour Resort
Part of the Trung Nguyen coffee empire, Coffee Tour Resort is a cute boutique hotel a little more than 2 km (1 mile) from the center of Buon Ma Thuot with lovely grounds, an on-site restaurant, and clean, modern rooms (with fluffy bathrobes in the wardrobes). The hotel's location, next door to Trung Nguyen Coffee Village and only a short walk to Buon Ma Thuot's water park, would make it ideal for families, especially those willing to pay a tad more for one of the super-roomy deluxe rooms.

Indochine Hotel Kon Tum
Billing itself as an international-standard three-star property, the eight-story Indochine Hotel has a commanding position overlooking the Dakbla River and surrounding countryside. Rooms are large and comfortable, if a bit basic, the bathrooms have bathtubs, and rooms on the higher floors have great views. It's worth paying a little more for a deluxe room for the river views (superior rooms overlook the town).
La Marina Hotel
Located just a stone's throw from a less populated stretch of beach, and about 1 km (½ mile) from the busiest part of the tourist strip, La Marina is a modern boutique hotel with a bohemian feel. The French Colonial-style building is home to 18 generously sized rooms, while the Instagram-friendly lobby and small, shaded outdoor swimming pool offer plenty of seating space. The staff are a delight and the beds are incredibly comfortable.
Terrasse des Roses
This romantic boutique hotel, on a hill 3 km (2 miles) from downtown Dalat, is one of the city's best-kept secrets. Each spacious themed room has a balcony overlooking the beautiful flower-filled garden and pond. The friendly staff can assist with ordering taxis, renting motorbikes, and providing local tour information. Great attention to detail throughout the hotel and the gardens make for a comfortable and soothing stay.
