Outer Pest

Pest’s northern and eastern outlying areas are a varied lot, with open fields alongside socialist blocks of flats and 19th century industrial and residential areas, their accessibility ranging from 10 minutes on the metro to an arduous trek on obscure bus lines. You could find yourself in places here and not know you’re still in Budapest. Népliget (People’s Park), Budapest’s largest public park, is located right by the metro station of the same name.
