Dining options within the park are limited to simple fare at Lassen Café & Gift in Kohm Yah-mah-nee Visitor Center and at the Manzanita Lake Camper Store, and the delicious meals at Drakesbad Guest Ranch. Nonguests can call ahead to make reservations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the ranch (866/999–0914). The nearest community with a good mix of mostly casual dining options is Chester, about a half-hour drive from the southwest entrance station. About an hour away, the small cities of Red Bluff and Redding have more extensive restaurant selections.
