Logan
Logan
Mormon pioneers created the permanent settlement of Logan in 1859, but the town didn't become prominent until 1888, when it was chosen as the site for Utah's land-grant agricultural college, now called Utah State University (USU). Logan is now the hub of the Cache Valley. The historic Main Street is best explored on a walking tour; an illustrated brochure is available from the Cache Valley Visitors Bureau located inside the historic Cache County Courthouse. Interesting buildings include St. John's Episcopal Church, representing Cache Valley's first non-Mormon denomination, and the Ellen Eccles and Lyric theaters.
