Xujiahui, Hongqiao and Gubei

Buyers throng the large malls in the shopping precinct at Xujiahui, which shines with neon and giant billboards. To the west are the districts of Hongqiao and Gubei, each of which has large resident populations of Western and other Asian expats. Although these neighborhoods don't have as much to offer visitors as other areas of the city, there are a couple intriguing sights that might make them worth a trip.
