4 Best Places to Shop in Provincetown, Cape Cod
Sorry! We don't have any recommendations for Provincetown right now.
Provincetown shopping can be artistic, sophisticated, whimsical, and even downright tawdry—a perfect reflection of the town’s very character. There is also a wide selection of touristy schlock. You’ll find exquisite original art galleries primarily on the east end but also next to taffy and fudge shops, high-end home decor and designer clothing boutiques next to tattoo parlors and T-shirt shops, and even boutiques specializing in alternative interests (think leather and adult novelties). Most shopping is concentrated along Commercial Street.
Marine Specialties
Marine Specialties is full of treasures, knickknacks, and clothing. Here you can purchase some very reasonably priced casual- and military-style clothing, as well as seashells, marine supplies, stained-glass lamps, candles, rubber sharks (you get the idea), and prints of old advertisements.
The Schoolhouse Gallery
This gallery, in an 1844 former school, shows the works of more than 50 local and national artists (modern and contemporary), as well as that of printmakers and photographers.

Tim's Used Books
Set back off the street at the end of a wooden walkway, this fantastic little slice of literary heaven is packed with volumes upon volumes—rooms of used-but-in-good-shape books, including some rare and out-of-print texts. It's a great place to lose track of time year-round.
