Set in a cavernous space amid embroidered curtains and artifacts from Burma, India, and Malaysia, chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten's playful take on Southeast Asian street food keeps you asking the waiters, "What exactly was in that?" Sometimes the playfulness works, sometimes it doesn't, but don't miss the steamed lobster with garlic, ginger, and dried chili, or the squid salad with papaya and cashews. This may not be the hottest new restaurant on the block anymore, but it's still a fun Meatpacking venue with food that doesn't disappoint.
