Fischer & Wieser's Das Peach Haus

Gruene General Store

If Gruene Hall is king of the town, the Gruene General Store is its queen. The building dates back to 1878, and the soda fountain is a 1950s throwback serving old-fashioned ice cream floats and homemade fudge. You can find all sorts of unusual Texas gifts here along with candy, pickles, honey butters, and jams. The store is open seven days a week.

The 8th Street Market

This former 1940s Ford dealership is filled with a multi-vendor mix of architectural, industrial, and repurposed treasures; vintage art; and collectibles. The Barn

Originally owned by Dee and Terry Buck, creators of the Texas Clay Festival (still an annual event), Buck’s Pottery was sold to their niece, Angie White, and her husband Kyle, in 2015. Angie, also a potter, continues the tradition alongside Terry. In their original barn studio, they create unique ceramic art, including mugs, pots, bowls, tortilla warmers, and more from some of the best ceramic artists in Texas.

Bechants

A Boerne institution, Bechants is known as the place to shop for women's clothing, kitchen goods, bedding, accessories and great gifts. Burg's Corner

Since 1948, Burg’s Corner has been peddling peaches from Jimmy Duecker Orchards, alongside a wide range of other fruits, vegetables, and products from local vendors. Stop by for a bowl of homemade peach ice cream topped with fresh peach compote, and snap a photo in front of the “Life Is Peachy” mural. Anyone who loves to cook will enjoy browsing this well-equipped Fredericksburg mainstay which, after decades in town, has recently moved to the beautiful old historic stone Keidel Memorial Hospital building. It offers a high-quality selection, with stock that ranges from coffee and tea to cookware and cutlery. And, in a fun twist of fate, the owner is the daughter of a doctor who practiced medicine here until the 1990s.

East End Market
